At be™, we are inspired to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to provide a nurturing, inclusive, and accessible space for the Hinterland community where children and their families feel truly seen, supported, and empowered to grow and thrive as their authentic selves.
Our Philosophy
We exist to help families thrive through practical, engaging allied health services. We empower children to grow in confidence, independence, and self-belief, while partnering with parents and carers to support each child’s development.'
We believe every child deserves the freedom to simply be — to play, explore, and discover.
Our Values
Our core values shape everything we do — from how we support families to how we work together as a team.
Inclusion – We welcome and celebrate every child and family, embracing diversity and difference.
Integrity – We act with honesty and stay true to our word.
Compassion – We lead with kindness, empathy, and understanding.
Authenticity – We show up as our genuine selves and create space for others to do the same.
Fun – We believe joy and playfulness are essential to growth and connection.
Our Approach
Our Story
About be™
be™ is a family-owned business founded in 2023 by Liz Garcia, a passionate Speech Pathologist and DIRFloortime® practitioner, alongside her husband, Jason. Together, they are not only business partners, but devoted parents who homeschool their three children — living and breathing their belief in child-led, meaningful, relational learning.
be™ was born from Liz and Jason’s well-established allied health practice, Beyond Words Therapy Centre (founded in 2015), which proudly served the Sunshine Coast Hinterland through clinics in Maleny and Beerwah. Over the years, they have continued to evolve and deepen their commitment to creating environments where children truly thrive.
At be™, children are invited into a space where they feel safe, supported, and free to explore who they are. It is a place for imagination, curiosity, connection and joy — where children can play, express themselves without fear, follow their interests, and grow at their own pace. Through these meaningful experiences, children build confidence, creativity, resilience and a strong sense of identity.
Our motto, “be seen, be heard, be you,” is at the heart of everything we do. It reflects our deep commitment to ensuring families feel recognised, valued, and empowered — just as they are.
